Post-Award Impact Practices Highlighted at the 1st CEE Congress for Research Managers

Brussels, 4th-5th November 2025; research manager and researcher Tanja Botić contributed to the session “PostAward - Ensuring Impact Effectively” at the Central and Eastern European Congress for Research Managers and Administrators (CEE Congress for RMAs). Her contribution focused on effective impact delivery in EU-funded projects, using the HybridNeuro project as a case study to demonstrate structured impact planning and evidence-based post-award management.

The Congress gathered around 100 research managers, administrators and policy specialists for two days of keynotes, practical workshops and thematic discussions covering the full research project lifecycle. Organized by the Brussels liaison offices of Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, the event builds on a decade of V4 training initiatives aimed at strengthening research management capacity in the CEE region.

Program highlights included sessions on RMA professional skills, proposal development, budgeting, project implementation and impact, as well as digital collaboration tools and AI readiness in research management. Held in strategic partnership with EARMA, the Congress reinforced alignment with European standards and long-term capacity-building efforts.

“Effective impact delivery is no longer an optional add-on, it's a core element of responsible EU-funded research - T. Botić”

Tanja’s participation emphasized the increasing importance of rigorous impact strategies and professionalized post-award processes in ensuring the long-term value of EU-funded research projects.
